Why use Docucopy?

It’s easy – for reasonable cost, short run length’s it is cost effective to use a digital process rather than offset or lithographic print processes. Colour or black & white (sometimes called mono) digital printing does not entail lengthy and costly set up costs for film, plates and printing make ready. By the time your offset plates have been made, our digital print job will have been delivered. Paper and card stocks from an ever widening range can be used and all the standard finishing and binding processes applied.

What is CMYK and PMS?

CMYK is the acronym used in the printing industry to describe full colour printing.

   C = Cyan (blue)

   M = Magenta (red)

   Y = Yellow

   K = Black

PMS stands for Pantone Matching System and is the standard used by Offset printers to make spot colours.

It is important to note that CMYK (Digital or Offset) will never give a perfect match to a PMS colour.

Sometimes they are close and sometimes a fair colour gap is apparent.

We can provide you with a swatch of CMYK PMS alternates that you can use with your PMS colour finder to see the variation.
