Docucopy's Xerox Color 1000 Press
It's our job to keep an eye on the relentless development in digital print technology. Every now and then we see something that changes the industry. We think the Color 1000 Press is that thing. The 1000 provides such a leap in versatility, scalability and performance that we couldn't wait for its release. Well it's here, installed in the Docucopy production room and ready to provide you with amazing options and advances in document production.
For the first time digital print can compete with traditional printing as the 1000 exceeds the limitations of the traditional colour range of the CMYK offset process and, with the new capability of adding clear, either as a design element, to accentuate an area, a spot gloss, or across the entire page, Docucopy's new 1000 is your new best friend.
Clear and custom dry ink technology
One of the most exciting features of the 1000 is the ability to highlight images for visual variety, making them “pop” off the page. The 1000 clear ink technology can be used to draw attention to a headline or variable text, highlight photos, logos or variable images. the custom ink now allows you to simulate pearlescent or metallic appearance, apply digital watermarks to add artistic effects or enhances security or add an extra protective layer to an entire sheet. Technology advances in the 1000 also let you design for specific Pantone spot colours.
Heavyweight stock
The 1000 provides an major advance in your paper stock options. An assortment of paper types, including coated, uncoated, gloss, matte and textured finishes are now available. In addition the 1000 also extends the range of paper thickesses available from a light weight 55 gsm to a hefty 350 gsm.
Xerox also continues to develop specific stock for the 1000 including coated and uncoated papers, bright papers, carbonless paper, DocuCard®, labels, business cards, glossy brochures, window decals, durable/synthetic papers, greeting cards, tabs, embossed, polyesters and custom solutions.
Speed
With the 1000 running all weights at rated speeds of 100 ppm Docucopy is confident that we can meet your deadlines with a product that even traditional offset would struggle to match.
Vibrant flat colour
You can now be different by design. the 1000 prints at 2400 x 2400 dpi for excellent sharpness and uniformity. They deliver outstanding midtones, crisp text, pure neutrals, detailed shadows, bright highlights and excellent photo rendering, perfect for today’s hot specialty photo applications. And Color 1000 Press maintains incredible colour consistency, from page to page and job to job. Vibrant colours, sharp textures, natural flesh tones and solid blacks create memorable, breathtaking images.
& Green as well
The Dry ink toner used in the 1000 is non-toxic and does not generate hazardous waste. Your documents made with dry ink are readily recyclable using standard de-inking processes. Unlike some liquid nk technologies, with dry ink there is no use of petroleum distillates, which are combustible, produce oil waste and may contribute to volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions in the work environment.
